This was my first international tour and that too after marriage ,yes we were honeymooners❤ and I have been to Bali and Singapore so many times but only in my dreams,so u can imagine how much excited I could have been, finally this was the time I got the chance for the first international tour to Bali & Singapore and I was super-duper excited coz obviously I could see my dreams coming true.Well,My first preference for our honeymoon was Europe. But since, we were going for a honeymoon in December, we had to drop the idea of Europe because of the cold weather during these months. The prospect of having cold, gloomy, and rainy days on a honeymoon just didn’t feel as the right setting for sightseeing in Europe.Hence, our next best option was South-east Asia wherein we combined two major places Bali and Singapore. Two islands with distinct cultures and plenty of places to explore.
Here we landed in Bali
So, finally we flew to Bali and were subsequently transferred to our hotel. The cab driver allotted to us a good guide and could speak English too. She told us a lot of interesting things about the city and it was fun and entertaining to have her. The hotel that we checked into had a private villa for us and it was a luxurious experience..
Ubud Traditional Art Market
If you’re looking for peace and quiet, then Ubud is the place to be. In the past, Ubud was just a small village, but now it has grown into a thriving yet laid back cosmopolitan community. Ubud pampers visitors in body and soul. Fine dining restaurants and spas here will delight and relax the senses. A walk through the lush paddy fields, watching colourful processions of women gracefully balancing piles of fruit offerings on their way to the temple, are lasting impressions and simply breathtaking. Ubud is a perfect place for you to experience spiritual awakening and enlightenment.
Batur Volcano & Lake Batur.
According to the Hindu belief Mount Batur, an active volcano is one of the sacred mountains, stands at 1717 above the sea levels and it is located in Batur village in the kitamani region. You might wish to put this trek on your Bali travel itinerary if you like outdoor activities..
Lake Batur is the largest lake of Bali. It is crescent shaped and it can be found in the smaller, secondary caldera of the Batur volcano, right at the foot of Mount Abang.Due to it’s height not only the temperature of the area is always cool but also the water of the lake.To the local people who live in the small villages around Batur, the lake is sacred site. The communities around the lake live mainly on agriculture and fishing and, in a lesser extent, on tourism.
Restaurant Grand Puncak Sari 2
Our driver brought us here for lunch. Although the view was fantastic, the food was average. The buffet system restraunt. You will be charged extra for drinks. The food was ok nothing great about it. Most package tours to kitamani include this restaurant. Service was excellent. You can have a nice view to Mount Batur and Lake Batur.
Bali Pulina and Kopi Luwak
Bali Paulina is located about 5 mins north it’s one the left of the famed Tegallalanga rice terraces on Jalan Rays Tegallalanga. Bali Paulina describes itself as Argo tourism and allows the visitor to learn about and take part in the coffee chocolate and spice preparation process.
Sagar and I ,we just love to drink coffee and well ,we were so much excited at the chance to try Kopi Luwak the world’s most expensive and lowest produced variety of coffee. Only 1000 lbs. of Kopi Luwak make it out into the market each year whose result in price is as high as $160 per pound.
Upon arriving you are greeted by a guide who takes you through the plantation until the end. The first stop is Civet cats. These cats eat the coffee berries for the flesh, but leave the beans inside, undigested. These are passed and then collected, thoroughly washed, sun dried, roasted and ground into coffee.
The cat’s digestive process creates a more aromatic and less bitter bean. At Bali Pulina, you can watch this entire process and even help yourself out.
And then it was time for the grand finale, The Taste Test. The famous Kopi Luwak.
Kopi Luwak is not going to change your life, but it is a delicious and aromatic cup of coffee. It smells exactly the opposite of how you would imagine coffee made from cat poop to smell…😋
Tegallalanga Rice Terrace
Tegallalanga Rice Terrace in Ubud is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandey in the eighteen century.
Bali Batuan Temple
Bali Batuan Temple is a hindu temple in Batuan village ,the temple us designed very beautiful with full of Balinese ornaments the roof temple building is made from the fiber of chromatic black palm tree.
It is strategically located beside of the main road from Denpasar to Ubud. For over a thousand years, Batuan has been a village of artist and craftsmen, old legends and mysterious tales…

It was a very sunny day, perfect for the morning devoted to water sports. At 9:30am the driver was there to pick us up. It was a short 20 mins drive.
The very first activity was parasailing; I was the one who went first, Sagar was little scared, infact we both were, but than later we got comfortable. They strapped the harness in my body and before I knew I was already dragged up in the air by the speedboat. It was a bit scary at first but a few seconds later I got the hang of it. It was fun watching the activities happening on the ground and the sea. My plan was to take a camera with me and record a video in the air but unfortunately no cameras were allowed, so I had to contend with pictures from the ground..
And the second activity was Banana boat.Well It was very much fun riding the Banana boat.It can not move alone. To move it must be pulled by a speed boat connected to the rope. For safety, every passenger is required to wear buoys and helmets. But nothing to worry, because the banana boat ride is relatively safe, even for children aged 4 years and over.
Kuta beach was just a walking distance from our hotel.Kuta Beach is one of the most famous beach resort destinations in Southern Bali.
Many foreigners flock here to admire the magnificent panoramic view, as well as get adventurous with surfing because of the strong current and high wave. My beach experience was mediocre.
Sunset in Bali is about 6.10 pm local time. Most people gravitate on the beach during that time. It is a must for me to watch the sun go down everyday when in Bali. It was a view too magnificent and unbelievable to be missed.
For shopaholics, you’ll find the whole row of local sellers at the back selling a myriad of things, from drinks, temporary tattoos, jewelleries, umbrella chairs, massage services and offering surfing lessons.
Indian restaurant Atithi
During our stay in Bali we found this Atithi Restraunt, it was very close to the Kuta beach and at a walking distance from our hotel. The food was delicious and staff was really very helpful and yes I must say the service was excellent .They had a live band music 🎶 by the evening time, that was really good. One should not miss this restraunt if you are looking for a proper Indian food.
Singapore :Now here our tour continued to Singapore ….
After exploring Bali now it’s time for Singapore baby. Singapore is without any doubts the most developed, urbanized country in Asia, if not in the world!
After landing in Singapore, we were welcomed by a representative from the hotel who drove us to the hotel. The hotel was located in Little India. This was a nice hotel and after freshening up and relaxing for a while we went to explore the market place and by the evening we proceeded for our 1st adventure – The Night Safari..
Around 5.30 in the evening, we boarded the cab that was waiting to pick us up and went for the safari.I found the night safari to be a dazzling affair. The experience was very original and captivating. Seeing the wildlife active at night time was very rare experience as such things could only be seen in wildlife shows on discovery, but Just because it was raining that time so we couldn’t spent more time n explore in a better way.
Post safari, we were shown a brilliant Tribal Fire Show in the complex. The dancers were dressed in traditional costumes, who showed off their brilliant fire handling skills that left the crowd and us truly amazed.
City Tour and River Safari
We had breakfast in our hotel and at 9.30 am, a cab was ready to take us for for a city tour. In this Oriental Singapore city tour, we witnessed the true variety and diversity of culture in Singapore. We visited Chinatown, Little India and Mustafa Centre for a little bit of shopping.
We found the city tour to be really good and the people in the market very friendly and helpful. Also we went for a river safari it was really impressive. The tour ended at around 7.30pm.
Sentosa-The Marine Island
Continuing our exploration on Sentosa island. We experienced the cable car ride, trust me it was mesmerizing ,earlier it was bit scary for us, but the view from the top was breathtaking.
We went to the Underwater world, which was another very popular attraction for tourists visiting Singapore. It was amazing to see the fishes and dolphins up close in person. This was the fun, innovating and leisurely way of experiencing the world that lives underwater without getting into trouble.
We saw the dolphin show which was very nice, seeing cute pink dolphins dancing and posing and kissing. We Also experienced the laser show by the evening time it was a Waao experience.
And now we reached the mesmerising Universal Studios. We were eagerly waiting for this day. After having breakfast in our hotel ,we were off to the Universal Studios. And I am glad to say that this turned out to be the best day of our honeymoon.
Universal Studios offer a thrilling experience for all the movie buffs and lover of sci-fi. There are amazing movie themed rides and the attractions all over the park and the best one out of those is Transformer ride.
One thing I can say for certain is that the people of Singapore are very warm, helpful and welcoming .
Jurong bird park
Jurong Bird Park is a short bus ride away from the Boon Lay MRT station. It’s said to be Asia’s largest bird park with over 5,000 birds across 400 species in a sprawling 20.2 hectare space. It was beautiful experience with birds,we attended so many birds shows. And Birds were well trained, for their shows… just loved it…
It was half day tour, so we came back to our hotel at 2pm. After relaxing for a while, we went to Marina Bay Sands and orchard Road. A must go to place while in Singapore you can get a great view of the sea and land. It’s quite windy so its cool. You can soak in the sea view, the bay below and scenic view, we got amazed with the breathtaking view…
Later we went to orchard road. For six weeks every year, orchard road is transformed into a Christmas wonderland, as we went in the month of December as Christmas was near that time, it’s the time of year when millions of glittering lights line the streets for 2.88 kilometers..
Our overall experience in the two countries was awesome except for a few hiccups that we overcame. I loved Singapore for its nature, ambience, and city life.Bali, on the other hand, was nature’s paradise that consisted of lush green scenic attractions and majestic view.
